WHAT’S NEXT…

In 1990, I wrote a 3-act play titled, “Happy Anniversary.”

Each act is a different anniversary of one of the cast members. The setting is 1993 in a middle-class home in any suburb of any city in the USA.

Lou Kalosky, the matriarch of the family, is an alcoholic. His wife Kate and their three children, Jane (age 20), Susan (age 19), and Nicholas (age 18) struggle with Lou’s addiction and are trying to forge their own pathways in life.

Aunt Maudie, Kate’s sister and her husband Uncle Bruce, are stalwart role models who have never had children of their own and want to help guide the children as they leave the nest.

Stan Crosby (age 23) is engaged to marry Jane Kalosky.

The play also centers upon Nicholas, who has left home to pursue an acting career but returns, confessing his homosexuality. He is longing to be accepted by his family.

It’s time to cast and produce “Happy Anniversary!” to a live audience on the Delaware shore!  I promise the audience a heart rendering family story with enough comic interlude to soften the harsher realities of life!

“Happy Anniversary” will find a stage in early 2026!
